STRATEGIC DIRECTION & LEADERSHIP

Elena Alejandra Del Federico

EGN Network Architect

Global Partnerships and Social Impact Project Development

Through my journey as an endometriosis patient, I’ve learned that people don’t commit to a cause out of shared suffering—they join because they believe they can help rewrite reality.

I believe entirely in the power of questions.
Questions reshape science.
They reinvent medicine.
They shift societies.

Every question we ask about endometriosis goes far beyond a clinical diagnosis. It exposes how we research, how we educate, how we support one another, and most importantly, how we listen to those living with chronic conditions.

Women already hold the strength, resilience, and capability to steer their own lives. Society's true role is simply to recognize and honor that potential. That reality shouldn't change based on where someone lives, their cultural or religious background, or their financial means. Real health relies on much more than a clinical treatment plan—it requires access to knowledge, a supportive environment, and a voice in the decisions that shape our lives.

Within this network, we operate in ecosystems, talk about real leadership, and drive projects forward.

It is a profound responsibility, keeping in mind that the most vital project we will ever manage is human life itself.

To transform the social perception of chronic illnesses, we must take the risk of asking uncomfortable and innovative questions, but above all, we must be willing to listen to the patients' answers.

True transformation requires shared commitment on all sides. It starts the moment someone dares to ask a different question and a community rallies to build the answer.

If you have read this far, we likely share a core belief: science moves forward when it listens, societies grow when they collaborate, and genuine opportunities open up the moment someone chooses to question the status quo.

Thank you for choosing to be part of this network.

INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

As founder of Endometriosis Global Network, I have designed our working ecosystem with a clear mission: to lead the network strategically and act as the bridge connecting academic rigor with real solutions for those of us living with endometriosis, a group to which I belong.

My work focuses on transforming scientific evidence into health protocols, directly coordinating the activity of the three Advisory Boards to ensure excellence in every project.

Some of my responsibilities are:

  • Global Partnerships Management: Leadership in the signing and execution of cooperation agreements with universities, government entities, and NGOs.

  • Endo-Friendly Seal Development: Technical direction of certification standards and validation of safe spaces.

  • Strategy Direction: Supervision of digital assets and health dossiers, ensuring that each of them complies with the requirements of the technical-clinical and patient councils.

  • Validation Ecosystem Coordination (Advisory Boards): Operational direction of the three levels of governance: International, National, and Patient Advisory Councils. I must ensure that every project, publication, or dossier goes through the triple validation filter, guaranteeing that technical excellence and clinical rigor are aligned with the real needs of patients.

Cooperation, Architecture, and Technical Validation

At EGN, we understand the management of endometriosis not merely as a social commitment, but as a highly complex technical challenge that demands academic excellence, clinical rigor, and a global vision. For this reason, the governance of this network is not based on isolated goodwill, but on a multidimensional working model designed to transform the reality of the condition through professionalization.

Our vision is grounded in three pillars of authority that act as quality filters for every project:

INTERNATIONAL RIGOR
To connect with cutting-edge global scientific and academic standards.

NATIONAL PRECISION
To ensure the technical and clinical applicability of our protocols in the local environment.

EXPERIENTIAL VALIDATION
To guarantee that technical excellence always responds to the real needs of the expert patient.

The HONORARY ADVISORY BOARD ensures that every dossier, every agreement, and every Endocertification possesses unquestionable institutional backing. The Board Members have been carefully selected because they are experts in their field, and we are immensely honored by their presence in our projects.
